Artist Research

Creating a Network of 3D Artists in Ghana is an inclusive project that seeks to provide a platform for artists from diverse Ghanaian backgrounds, with special attention paid to marginalised communities based on sex, religion, age, gender, sexuality, class/cultural group as these communities so often face exclusion.

It is the aim of this research project to connect with and foster opportunities to support participating artists by raising their profiles, building relationships to explore opportunities for arts activities that will go some way to encouraging a sustainable and successful ecology of 3D Arts in Ghana.

The network is open to multi-disciplinary 3D artists and makers: furniture, fibre arts, sculpture, ceramics, installation, especially those making contemporary work and those interested in exploring opportunities to network by creating an expandable, sustainable database.

Bringing Ghanaian artists (in Ghana initially and in the diaspora) together in a value creating way means the artists are included in the wider world conversation about African Art and share information on funding and collaborative opportunities.
